Ross Care support William Merritt Centre with new Shopmobility Service

Ross Care is pleased to have helped in the opening of the new Shopmobility store at Leeds Merrion Centre. Ross Care has been able to offer both advice and practical support to William Merritt including sharing processes and documentation as well as hosting staff site visits to our own Shopmobility. Additionally, Ross Care has supplied a fleet of high quality scooters along with service & maintenance support. Ross Care has also made available a range of small aids for customers to purchase at their convenience.

CECOPS is a code of practice designed to give a quality framework in the provision of services for disability equipment and Wheelchair Services. The CECOPs standard has been developed to improve outcomes for service users and the organisations providing services

Ross Care Team News; 30 years-service in Newcastle!

Technical Manager Gary Miler of Ross Care Newcastle, celebrates 30 years with the mobility industry, with Ross Care. Gary transferred to Ross Care in June 2017 when the company were awarded the Newcastle & Cumbria contract, having already spent 28 years working within the industry.

ROSS CARE Employee Celebrates 30 Years Service Award

Ross Care Wallasey employee Andy Dearing is celebrating 30 years with Ross Care in 2019.

Andy started with Ross Care Auto Engineering in May 1989, cleaning commodes and disability cars. In June 1990 he started with RCL before being promoted to RCL supervisor in 1998.

ROSS CARE launch hackcessible challenge with Sheffield University

The University of Sheffield’s Hackcessible event is taking place soon, and Ross Care need your design challenges! 

Last year, the event produced wheelchair-mounted drinks bottle refilling mechanisms, digital reading devices for visually impaired musicians, and 3D printed arm supports. 

Suffolk Carers Family Fun Day!

To celebrate 'Carers Week 2019', Ross Care attended the Suffolk Family Carers Fun day. The event celebrates local carers and raises awareness of Suffolk Care initiatives. Simon & Paddy from Ross Care Ipswich were on hand giving out free wheelchair 'health checks', advice and support.

Despite the recent spell of wet weather, the event was well attended and Ross Care were kept busy offering advice and repairs on wheelchairs and mobility equipment.

Simon Turner, Operations Manager, commented:

'In addition to supporting the event, the day proved to be a great opportunity to hear feedback on our service and to raise awareness of the wheelchair provision available locally'

Ross Care provide Approved Wheelchair service and maintenance on behalf of the NHS in the Suffolk region.

Sunderland Sunflower Day 2019 at Ross Care Bridges Store

On Friday 21st of June, Ross Care Sunderland staff wore yellow to support awareness of the local charity St Benedict's as part of their Sunflower Day!

St Benedict's Hospice has provided specialist palliative care to the people of Sunderland and surrounding districts since 1984. Care is provided by the NHS

ROSS CARE MOCK INTERVIEWS WITH ASHTON SIXTH FORM COLLEGE

ROSS CARE went ‘Back to School' on 29th April 2019 supporting Ashton Sixth Form College with mock interviews. The sessions were arranged for final year students, ahead of their graduation.

It was a great opportunity for the students to practice responding to a range of competency-based interview questions, and receive input and feedback from representatives of local businesses, including us!
