Hackcessible: the multidisciplinary design-and-make competition that puts users at the heart of the product design
Ross Care is pleased to be supporting Hackcessible 2021 and is in search of 'Challengers'. Are you aware of a specific challenge in your daily life that can't be met by existing technology? Then there are university technology students preparing to put their expertise to work to devise a solution.
What is Hackcessible?
Accessible is an annual Assistive Technology innovation competition that brings interdisciplinary teams of students together, collaborating with disabled individuals to solve their specific challenges through innovative technology.
Hackcessible puts end users at the heart of the process, inviting them to lead the project as co-designers and to participate in every aspect, from the workshops to the make-a-thon, to ensure we design products that are useful and effective in solving everyday challenges.
How do I get involved?
- Do you have a disability or care for someone who does?
- Is there a specific challenge in your daily life that can't be met by existing technology?
- Do you have an idea for something that could improve your quality of life, and/or that of others?
- Would you like to work with enthusiastic students to come up with a solution and build it?
If you have a specific challenge in mind, tell us about it using the button below, or go to our website at hackcessible.org, where you will find more information about the event, as well as examples of previous challenges that teams have tackled. If your challenge is suitable for the make-a-thon, we will try to connect you with a team of students in your area.
If you would like to chat an idea through with us or want to know how we can support you to be involved, please get in touch at info@hackcessible.org.
Do you have a challenge idea
