Susanne Marples is the team leader of Ross Care's administration team based in Sheffield, which support the local NHS Wheelchair Approved Repairer services.

Having lost her husband to cancer last year, she has first hand experienced the impact the disease has, both on the individual and those close to them. Never having been a runner before, this event has inspired her to lace-up for the first time and get running every day throughout February. She is doing this in aid of Cancer Research UK, with the goal of running 2 miles every day next month in aid of Cancer Research UK until she reaches her goal of 56 miles. Susanne has encounter snowy and icy conditions during her challenge but undeterred reached the significant milestone of 26 miles on the 15th Feb (a full marathon!). She has been delighted with the generous support from other Ross Care team members and friends and plans to continue even if she surpasses her 56 mile goal.
