Ross Care Awarded CECOPS Accreditation
CECOPS is a code of practice designed to give a quality framework in the provision of services for disability equipment and Wheelchair Services. The CECOPs standard has been developed to improve outcomes for service users and the organisations providing services. It is a user-led, independent, not-for-profit certification and standards body, aiming to raise the standards across the UK.
How long has Ross Care been accredited?
Our Suffolk wheelchair facility was the first Ross Care site to be registered to CECOPS and became accredited September 27th 2019
What is the accreditation process?
The Process of accreditation begins with a self-assessment against the CECOPs standard - which allowed us to develop a continual improvement plan for our service provision and working practices.
The next stage was an on-site audit of the facility by a CECOPs approved independent auditor. The audit involved a full review of practices, people, H&S and information systems that had the end-user of our services central to the process. The final stage of the process involved the review, update and submission of the improvement plan to the auditor.
