Our Community Health Engagement Officer, Emily, chairs a service user engagement and improvement board meeting for service users, their relatives and carers, stakeholders, external professionals and organisations and anyone in the wider community who has an interest in the local NHS wheelchair and repair service.

Members from the service leadership team are also in attendance. This group is open for all to attend and is easily accessible with meetings being held both in person at our Service Centres and online via Microsoft Teams (you can join the meeting from any location, on any device - mobile, computer or tablet etc).

What is the purpose of the Service User Board? 

The purpose of the forum is primarily to provide wheelchair users with a voice, within the service. The CHEO chairs the quarterly meetings, where attendees (usually a mixture of service users and professionals) can provide suggestions and feedback about the service and use this to drive improvement in the local wheelchair service.
