My Name is Sophie and I have MS (multiple sclerosis) While the diagnosis is relapsing remitting, each relapse has taken a bit of me that has not returned and means that my condition, my disability has progressed.

CEDAK (Centre of Excellence for Disabled Archery in Kent) was set up in 2003 to enable with disability/ impairment to enjoy the sport of archery in an environment that is accessible to all.

A little while ago we were able to celebrate International Wheelchair Day at Ross Care.

We are in a privileged position to see first-hand the impact the wheelchair can have on improving lives.

Our celebrations involved the sharing of a series of short reflections from colleagues, Service Users & partners that highlight the positive impact of wheelchairs on individuals’ lives.

My name is Amber and I have been with the Wheelchair Service for over 8 years. Previous to that I worked in retail and had no idea about the intricacies of the wheelchair service or even the equipment. So, day one of working for our approved repair service at the time in customer service was interesting.

Ross Care’s commitment to service user engagement is exemplified by the creation of the Community Liaison & Engagement Officer (CLEO) role. This position is integral to ensuring that service user feedback is not only heard but actively incorporated at every stage of service delivery.
