New Website Launched for East Sussex Wheelchair Service

New Website Launched for East Sussex Wheelchair Service

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new website for Service Users and partnering Health Professionals across East Sussex.

This visually rich and accessible site provides industry-leading clarity and ease of access to essential information about the East Sussex Wheelchair Service.

Designed with simplicity and usability at its heart, the site has been created for Service Users, the local community, and professionals referring into the service. Accessibility is built into its core. Beyond standard accessibility tools, we have worked closely with both Service Users and Disability-Led Organisations as well as in line with recognised web accessibility standards to ensure information is presented in a clear, structured way that removes potential barriers. The site can also be instantly translated into the most commonly spoken languages in the UK. Our aim is that whatever your reason for visiting, you will be able to quickly find the relevant and helpful information you need.

If you are preparing for an appointment, you will discover detailed information on what to expect, how to prepare and the roles and individuals you may meet. There is also a dedicated section for our children’s services.

Healthcare Professionals can easily access key documents, helpful information guides and video resources to help support wheelchair users in the community.

Providing feedback has never been easier, with a dedicated page for questions, suggestions, and tools to help you achieve your goals. This complements our in-person Service User Forums. The Community page keeps you up to date with the latest developments as well as information on related services and activities in the local area.

Behind the scenes, the site’s platform has been upgraded and is actively managed to ensure information remains current, relevant and continually improving. If you have any suggestions for further enhancement, we would love to hear from you.
