Wheelchair Amnesty

Wheelchairs are prescribed for the individual only and should not be used by others.

When a wheelchair that has been issued on loan from one of our NHS Wheelchair Services is no longer required, please let us know and one of our customer service team will be happy to arrange a collection.

Look for the contact information on the equipment label or contact your local Ross Care wheelchair service to arrange a collection.

Why Return?

The Wheelchair Service prescribes equipment for the individual’s mobility and postural needs, wheelchairs should not be used by anyone other than the individual it was originally prescribed for.

  • Local NHS and social care services lose thousands of pounds each year due to missing equipment.
  • Whatever state the equipment is in, all items will be assessed, safety tested and either repaired, reused, or stripped down to be recycled.

Contact us to arrange a collection, or if you would prefer to return wheelchairs that are no longer required yourself, you can take them to your local Ross Care Wheelchair Service Centre.
