At Ross Care, we are committed to improving the lives of children and young people who use wheelchairs. As a trusted provider of NHS Wheelchair Services, we understand that mobility is just one part of the journey - true empowerment and inclusion come from community, confidence, and opportunity.

Our CHEO Emily attended a wheelchair skills workshop aimed at children aged 2yrs to 17yrs in Fareham in September. The Charity Go-Kids-Go travel around the country to deliver vital wheelchair skills workshops to children and their families. 

Our CHEO Emily, reached out to Evenbreak in August, and managed to secure a networking meeting to meet with Josh (candidates and partnerships coordinator) who gave us an insight into the work that Evenbreak do, and the ways in which they help support people with disabilities get back into work, find inclusive employers and progress with their careers.

Many of our service users have been enquiring more about wheelchair skills and wanting to learn more about how to better manoeuvre their wheelchairs. Our clinicians provide basic training during the handover of your wheelchair, however, the NHS Wheelchair service is unfortunately not commissioned to provide further and more advanced wheelchair skills training.
